Steady offers different payment methods: Paypal, Apple Pay, credit card, direct debit. Depending on the currency, different payment methods are available. Click here for more information.
Payment by direct debit is the preferred method, as this carries the lowest payment fee (just 1 percent of your payment), meaning the publisher gets to keep more of what you pay.
In order to guarantee secure, compliant processing for the SEPA direct debit procedure, Steady works with the payment service provider GoCardless. For the credit card payment procedure we use the service provider Braintree.
Change payment method
You can change your payment method at any time in your settings under Memberships > Payment Method.

"I received an email. Subject: Action required”
If you pay by direct debit but the payment doesn’t proceed, you will receive an email with the subject "Action required". Then you can check that you have enough money in your account and that all your details were entered correctly. A total of three debit attempts will be made. If the debit still doesn’t work after three attempts, your membership will be terminated. Then you will receive the message, "Your membership will be terminated".
