Today many websites use a programming language called JavaScript that runs on the user’s web browser. JavaScript needs to be enabled in the user’s browser in order for those websites to run smoothly.

We use JavaScript to operate features like the Steady Paywall and our checkout. If JavaScript is disabled, you might not be able to use Steady’s website properly, or see all the website’s content. For example, the checkout may not work.

If you’re having trouble logging in or any other issue arises, please have a look at our Troubleshooting Guide, email us or give us a call. We’re here to help.

How to Enable JavaScript for Safari

Most browsers have JavaScript enabled by default. Sometimes Safari users need to enable JavaScript manually. Here’s how to do it:

PC

  1. Select Edit from the top menu bar, then Preferences.

  2. Click the Security tab near the top of the dialog box.

  3. Click the Enable JavaScript checkbox.

  4. Close the dialog box.

  5. Refresh your browser to ensure changes are implemented.

MAC

  1. Select Safari from the top menu bar, then Preferences.

  2. Click the Security tab near the top of the dialog box.

  3. Click the Enable JavaScript checkbox under Web content.

  4. Close the dialog box.

  5. Refresh your browser to ensure changes are implemented.

iPhone

  1. Go to Settings on your home screen.

  2. Scroll down the page to find and click on Safari.

  3. Scroll right to the bottom of the page and click Advanced.

  4. Check that JavaScript is enabled. The white slider should be towards the right with a green indicator to show it is active. If the white dot is to the left, click to slide it to the right.
