How to Control Sharing Options for Your Posts

At Steady, we want to give you full control over how your posts are shared. That's why we have a feature that allows you to choose whether or not to display the sharing prompt under your post emails and the sharing button next to the high-five and comment buttons on your post pages.

Accessing the Posts Settings Page

To make changes to your sharing options, you'll need to go to the posts settings page. To get there, use the "Continue"-Button in the top right corner after writing your post, or navigate to the "Post Settings" page from the three dots next to the post on your posts overview page.

Enabling or Disabling the Sharing Prompt

Once you're on the posts settings page, you'll see a section labeled "Advanced" with a sub-section for "Sharing settings." Here, you'll find a checkbox labeled "Encourage sharing of this post." This is the setting that controls whether or not the sharing prompt will be displayed under your post emails and on your post pages.

If you want to enable the sharing prompt, simply check the box. If you want to disable it, uncheck the box. Remember, this setting is individual per post, so you can choose to have the sharing prompt for some posts and not for others.

Once you've made your selection, click on the "Save" button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

Remembering Your Last Setting

We understand that it can be tedious to have to manually enable or disable the sharing prompt for each post. That's why we have a feature that remembers your last setting.

For example, if you have the sharing prompt enabled for one post and then disable it for the next post, the platform will remember that you disabled it and will automatically disable it for all future posts. This way, you don't have to constantly make changes to your sharing options.

However, if you want to change the setting for a specific post, you can always go back to the posts settings page and make the necessary changes.

If you have any further questions or need assistance with this feature, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team. We're always happy to help!
