To cancel your membership:
Go to your Memberships page.
Click "Cancel plan" on the membership you want to cancel.
You will then be asked to choose between an “ordinary” and “extraordinary” type of cancellation.
Ordinary vs. extraordinary cancellation
Ordinary cancellations are cancellations at the end of the billing cycle.
Extraordinary cancellations are cancellation requests before the end of the billing cycle.
Choose from the drop-down menu when you want your membership to terminate. The earliest date of cancellation is the end of the current billing cycle.
For example, if you started a monthly membership on the 15th of a given month, you'll have to cancel before the 15th of a month to ensure it does not auto-renew for a further month.
There is only one possible termination date for annual memberships.
For example, if your membership started on January 15, you'll have to cancel before the 15th January of the following year to ensure it does not auto-renew for a further year.
Note: If you purchased an annual plan on or after March 1, 2022, you can cancel your membership on a monthly basis after an initial two-year period has passed. This is due to the terms stipulated by the German Fair Consumers Contract Act, which came into effect in March 2022. Read more about it here.
Other (“extraordinary”) cancellations
To request cancellation sooner than the end of your billing period, you will need to provide a reason for cancellation, the date you want your membership terminated and your email address. A member of the Steady support team will review your request and be in touch.
Deleting your Steady account
Deleting your Steady account is only possible after you have cancelled all of your memberships.
