Step-by-Step Guide to Cancelling Your Membership
Log into your Steady account and navigate to My Memberships
Choose the membership you would like to cancel and click on “Cancel Plan”
By default, you are submitting an ordinary cancellation for the end of your membership term. You will see the end of the membership term in the "Date of Cancellation" field. Once you click "Cancel now", you will receive a confirmation of your cancellation. You will also receive a confirmation via email. Your membership will not renew at the end of the term.
If you are unhappy with your membership and would like to cancel immediately, then you can choose the option "extraordinary cancellation". In that case, we will submit your cancellation with the date of submission. You must provide a valid reason for this extraordinary cancellation and our support team will get back to you whether your request was approved and perhaps your membership will be partially or fully refunded. In this case, you will also receive a confirmation of your cancellation request.
In both cases, you have the option to decide to remain a free subscriber of the publication. This means you will receive the free newsletter that this publication sends to subscribers. (You can change this setting anytime on the Notifications page in your membership backend.)
Reactivating your membership
In case you accidentally cancelled your membership and would like to reactivate it, you can easily do so until your membership has ended. Navigate to the membership card and click on the "Reactivate" button. Your membership will then automatically renew at the end of your current term.
Deleting your account
If you not only want to cancel your membership, but also delete your account completely, you can do so on the Account page in the membership backend.
You can only delete your account if you have already cancelled all memberships. Please be aware that if you delete your account but still have an active membership, you will not be able to access that membership via Steady anymore. Deleting your account cannot be undone!
