We’ve created a new space just for our members: a dedicated app where you can connect, follow our work more closely, and be part of the conversation. A simple, botless space built for thoughtful content and real connection.
As of January 2026, we are launching with selected projects in the app. This means not all content that's on Steady is available in the app.
When you purchase a membership on Steady, you will receive an invitation and information whether this project is available in the app.
How to download the app
Download the app
Log in using your Steady email address
You will receive the 6-digit verification code to confirm your login. You only need to log into the app once.
You will see a list of projects which are available in the app and to which you have an active membership.
By default, you will also see the Steady Discover project, where we will showcase which projects are available in the app and highlight content we want to share with you.
What you'll see in the app
If you don't have any active paid subscriptions with Steady, you will just see the Steady Discover channel. Here we will showcase which projects are live in the app.
If you do have an active membership to another Steady publication, you will also see that publication in your channel list.
In each project's channel, you will find the following:
Posts: the latest content published by that media maker
Topics: a list of all topics for which you can find content in the app
Podcast*: if the project publishes a podcast, you will find it in the bottom navigation
Community*: if the project offers a dedicated space for community members to share content and join conversations, you will find it in the bottom navigation
Social Media or Instagram feed*: if the project shares their Instagram or other social media feed, you will find it in the bottom navigation
Chat: you will be able to message the media maker or join group chats with other paying members on specific topics. You'll see a prompt to join the group chat if it exists.

How can I delete the app?
How can I delete the app?
If you no longer wish to use the Steady app, navigate to Settings via the top left menu icon. On the Settings page, choose to "deactivate account." You can also remove the app from your home screen and choose to delete all data.
Please be aware that this does not delete your Steady account. You can find out how to delete your Steady account here.
Why do I see a paywall on the post?
Why do I see a paywall on the post?
When you see a paywall on a post that you are reading via the Steady app, it means that you don't have the right membership to access that piece of content. Media makers can choose which membership plans have access to each individual post, so when you see a paywall, your membership plan does not have access.
You can upgrade to the appropriate plan by clicking on the plan that is shown in the paywall.
