Subscribe to exclusive episodes via RSS feed or listen on Spotify

It's easy to listen to exclusive podcast episodes via Spotify or to connect your personal RSS feed to a podcasting app

Updated today

Podcasters can offer exclusive episodes to their members. There are two options how to listen:

After purchasing a plan that includes an exclusive podcast, members see a button to subscribe to the podcast or to listen on Spotify

  • on the Thank You Page,

  • in the confirmation email sent to you after purchase

  • on the Membership card in your Steady backend

Listening via RSS feed

Clicking on the "Get podcast" button, opens the Podlove widget, which will look something like this, showing your podcast cover art and title.

In the following step, you can choose where to subscribe to your podcast. Choosing one of those options will open the respective app and allow you to subscribe there, never missing a new episode.

If you prefer a different app to the ones listed here, please choose "Other app". You will then see the premium RSS feed to copy and paste into the app of your choice manually.

Listen on Spotify

If the podcast you support releases exclusive members-only episodes on Spotify, you can conveniently access them directly in the Spotify app.

Option 1: From Spotify

  1. Access an exclusive members-only episode in the Spotify app.

  2. Click on the lock icon or "get access" button

  3. You’ll be redirected to a browser page that shows you the Spotify account you are logged into

  4. In the next step, log in with your Steady account or create a new one.

  5. Once logged in, the exclusive podcast feed will be available in Spotify alongside all your other followed podcasts.

If you are creating an account and haven't purchased the membership plan that grants you access, you of course have to purchase a plan first. You'll be prompted to do so in that flow.

Option 2: From Steady

  1. Go to the Memberships menu and find the plan you’ve subscribed to.

  2. Select the podcast that is published on Spotify. You’ll see this if the membership card has a button labeled “on Spotify”.

  3. Click the button and connect your accounts.

  4. You will then proceed to Spotify, where you need to log in or confirm the account linking.
