A member is a person who supports a publication on Steady with a recurring contribution. The membership is the corresponding subscription: the member chooses a plan, pays monthly or annually, and in return receives that plan’s benefits – for example exclusive content.
Newsletter subscribers are different: they subscribe to a publication’s free newsletter with just their email address, pay nothing, and don’t need a Steady account for it.
