To protect your account, we temporarily lock the login when a wrong code is entered several times in a row. The lock kicks in from the sixth failed attempt – including when you triggered it yourself by mistyping.
How to unlock your account
You have two options:
By email: we send you an email titled “Unusual login attempts for your Steady account” with an unlock button. One click is enough.
Wait it out: the lock expires automatically two hours after the last attempt. Important: every further login attempt restarts those two hours, so do wait it out.
Why does this happen?
Usually it is harmless: an old code from an earlier email, a typo, or a code that was already used. Every login code works once and expires after 30 minutes – so always use the code from the most recent email. More on this: How to log in to Steady.
If those login attempts weren’t you, someone probably tried your email address. They cannot get into your account: signing in is impossible without the code from your inbox, and Steady has no passwords that could be stolen.
