As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase contract – for example a membership or subscription – within fourteen days of concluding the contract, without giving any reason.
How to withdraw
An unambiguous statement is enough. Send it by email to support@steadyhq.com or by post to: Steady Media GmbH, Voltastr. 5, 13355 Berlin, Germany.
Example wording: “I hereby withdraw from my contract for the membership with [name of publication], concluded on [date]. My email address on Steady: [your address].”
To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to send your notice before the fourteen-day period expires. You may also use the model withdrawal form, but this is not mandatory.
What happens after your withdrawal
We will refund all payments received from you without undue delay, and at the latest within fourteen days of receiving your withdrawal notice. We will use the same payment method you used for the original transaction; you will not be charged any fees for the refund.
When the right of withdrawal expires early
For digital content, the right of withdrawal can expire early – namely if, at the time of purchase, you expressly agreed that performance of the contract begins immediately and confirmed that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.
Withdrawal or cancellation – what’s the difference?
Withdrawal is only possible within 14 days of purchase and reverses the contract – you get your money back. Cancellation is possible at any time and takes effect at the end of the current billing period – periods already paid for are not refunded. How to cancel: How do I cancel a membership on Steady?
You can find the complete, legally binding withdrawal policy at steady.page/en/right_of_revocation.
